Really great as ever , no pressure just good value. Spot on everytime 👌 , our boys love the Fish Bites 🐟 and the battered Sausage. 10/10. Simply the BEST ,service with a Smile. Been there night for tea and not disappointed , it was fab and always a good quantity 😌. I love the fish bits and chips they are a good size and well cooked.😋

Probably used Dave’s about 5 times in as many years ( when we are camping locally) It’s been very consistent in my experience. Big portions of Cod and pretty good. Batter is a little bit oily but tastes fresh ( we take it back to the campsite, and like most fish and chips, it’s better to eat asap!) Service always seems efficient. I would recommend and will go back next camping trip, when I’ve had enough of cooking for the family!

Been going here for years, absolutely unreal food with an amazing service! You can really tell there is a passion for perfection at Daves. Usually go for cheesy chips with garlic sauce but have been getting the pizzas which are the best in the whole of consett area, nice base and generous toppings, with the added extra of not being greasy and the toppings dont fall off. Staff will always go the extra mile to make sure your food is exactly how you like it. I also NEVER get fish and chips but seeing the fish at Daves I got myself one and finished the full thing, batter and all, i normally hate other fish shop batter. The new food on the menu is unreal! Loaded fries i has yesterday were the best I have ever had. And the new donuts are to die for! From cholestrol, because I am going for more!

Never given a 5 star review before (I am British after all) but I bought done fish and chips here as I was staying nearby and they were the best I have had since 2 years ago in Whitby. Very crisp batter on fresh fish and perfectly cooked chips with mushy peas. Superb! Oh yes, very friendly service with a smile too.
